IT seems Terry Snow's been credited with carrying out a "Snowy" helicopter rescue mission of his own.
"Confidential" can report the owner of the Canberra Airport generously came to the aid of the Royal Flying Doctor Service after he landed to refuel his chopper in Broken Hill recently.
Snow told "Confidential" he was approached by the service to assist in rescuing a construction worker who'd broken his leg after colliding with a sheep on his motorbike.
"I didn't have to think twice," says Snow. "The RFDS is such a worthy Australian institution and everyone should do everything they can to keep them in the sky."
Apparently the length of remote landing strips combined with recent bad weather had made it impossible for the RFDS to carry out their mission.
